Population aged 15 years and over in Jawa Timur was recorded at 30.02 million people. The labor force reached 20.50 million, decreased by 194 thousand people in a year than the labor force in February 2015.

Of the resident labor force, the number of working people reached 19.65 million, the remaining 850 thousand people remained unemployed. The working population decreased 152 thousand compared to the situation in February 2015 amounted to 19.80 million people.
