A supervisory team from the East Java Provincial Statistics Indonesia (BPS) visited several Local Environment Units (SLS) in Jombang Regency on Friday (August 14, 2026) to supervise and oversee the acceleration of field data collection for the 2026 Economic Census. The activity involved four supervisors, with Amin Sani Kertiyasa serving as the team leader.
During the visit, the supervisory team accompanied and assisted Field Data Collection Officers (PPL) and Field Verification Officers (PML) in completing data collection across designated SLS areas, ranging from dedicated business premises to factory sites and economic zones.
In the field, the team encountered several challenges; for instance, at some business premises, officers struggled to locate authorized personnel for the interview because the sites were merely branch offices, and the superiors or individuals capable of providing the necessary information were not on-site.
Nevertheless, Amin Sani Kertiyasa remains optimistic that the entire 2026 Economic Census process in Jombang Regency will be completed according to the established targets.
"We hope that the 2026 Economic Census in Jombang Regency will be completed on schedule and that the quality of the data obtained meets the standards set by BPS," said Amin.
The direct assistance provided by supervisors alongside PPL and PML officers in these SLS areas is expected to facilitate the data collection acceleration process, ensuring that all subjects in Jombang Regency are comprehensively covered.
